let me tell something funny, that has happened today.
when we were doing our project, we saw this picture.
here it goes:
joanna: aaa, why she insert this picture inside uh? why there's a penguin
zhenbei: cus it's story time ma, so she insert it
fion & kwong shuo: where got penguin????
zhenbei: aaa, ya hor, that's a owl la! JOANNA.
joanna: owl meh? not penguin???
zhenbei: abur then, which part of it looks like a penguin lo, i think there's something very wrong with your eyes. cant differentiate penguin & owl.
joanna: it really looks like a penguin from far
joanna: penguin is qi e in chinese?
zhenbei & fion & kwong shuo: yes la, not qi e then call what?
joanna: alot of people also don't know penguin = qi e
zhenbei: who says so? u don't believe u ask kwong shuo.
joanna: what's ying mu in chinese?
kwong shuo: owl
zhenbei: HUH? YING MU IS OWL MEH? PARROT LA!
kwong shuo: ya hor, say wrongly
*laugh very loudly
i cant remember who said that: owl is mao tou ying.
lol.
it seems like alot of people cant differentiate animals, let alone their chinese name.
i felt sad for the owl because someone has mistaken it for a penguin.
joanna tries to convince us that it really look like a penguin WHEN U LOOK AT IT FROM FAR. anyway i still cant figure out which part of it looks like a penguin.
